Drama Queen
The aliens saved us, sure, but now they’re just the world’s worst roommates. Nomamoto is stuck in a dead-end factory job, grinding under an alien boss who’s as abusive as they come. It’s a miserable existence until she crosses paths with Kitami, a man who carries the heavy burden of a family lost to these extraterrestrial visitors. Their connection is instant; two souls find solace in a society that’s been turned upside down by their supposed saviors. They build a bridge out of shared pain and frustration, creating a small pocket of humanity in a landscape that feels increasingly alien. But just as you start rooting for their survival, the rug gets pulled out from under you. Kitami makes a choice that changes everything, leaving you questioning what’s actually happening behind the scenes of this sci-fi comedy. You won’t see the turn coming when he does the unthinkable.
